About Timothy Smale

Timothy works within the Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence (KIITE) to enhance and transform learning, teaching and research using educational technology. Timothy has a primary focus on supporting the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, whilst working on institutional wide projects.

Timothy has supported staff in the pedagogical use of technology to enhance learning and teaching at Keele since 2007. Some of his highlights are the design and implementation of Keele’s first fully online distance module (Evidence Based Practice), supporting Keele’s first full school move to online submission and marking, designing and implementing a university wide pre-arrival online induction programme which was awarded the 2017 Blackboard Catalyst Award for Optimizing the Student Experience, and the development of digital applications to support students learning and assessment on placements (SIF) and in practical based techniques (Vids).

Timothy is also a Governor and Data Protection Officer for Leasowes Primary School, Stafford.
